Welcome to the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO-SFBA). As the world's largest NAPO chapter, we serve a region that needs our services more than anyplace else. Statistically Bay Area residents have more possessions, smaller homes in relation to salaries, more technologies, more obsolete gadgets, more information, less free time, and pressure to accomplish more. No wonder many suffer from clutter and feel overwhelmed!

Setting many of the trends in professional organizing, NAPO-SFBA members create order from chaos. We help people function effectively and calmly. We make space and time available for what's important.

Serving Monterey to Sacramento, we are consultants, coaches, authors, trainers,

planners, suppliers, project managers, technology experts, financial advisors, movers and experts in other specialties.

NAPO-SFBA offers the most vibrant opportunities for professional development and career growth available in our field. Monthly meetings, lectures, annual regional and national conferences, networking, newsletters, and volunteer positions provide opportunities. Members work together in an environment of cooperation, not competition.

We invite you to explore this web site. It offers an easy way to find the right professional organizer, learn about the organizing industry, read about upcoming events, access professional organizing products and more.

NAPO-SFBA meetings offer speakers on topics of professional interest, as well as time for chapter business. Opportunities for networking exist before and after the meeting. Members and the general public are welcome to attend. All NAPO-SFBA gatherings are scent-free. Click here for more information.

October Chapter Meeting
Communicating for Positive Results

Anne Bers
Location: Doubletree Inn Hotel - Burlingame

Communication, especially with clients, can be challenging when sensitive issues are involved. On October 8th, join your colleagues for an interactive, hands-on session led by Anne Bers, Manager of Mediation Programs at the Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center, during which we`ll learn about effective communication techniques for building trust, getting people talking, listening for underlying needs, and giving feedback constructively. We`ll also discuss what to do when conflicts arise and how to resolve them collaboratively, with the goals of sustaining and enhancing our business and professional relationships. Don’t miss this great opportunity to improve your communication skills and get to know some of your organizing colleagues at the same time!

Register online.
